2021 Volunteers of the Year Awards

Thank you to all the Sunshine Coast Volunteers. You are amazing!

Volunteers of the Year Nomination

Do you know of a special person who stepped up during 2020 in a volunteering capacity? Is there a volunteer who did something extraordinary, went the extra mile to reach out, made an impact, or drove a notable project or initiative?

Do you know of a volunteer who is the glue that holds an organisation or group together? Was there someone in your organisation that was devoted to making the world a better place?

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognises those who go above and beyond, who are passionate about helping people and making positive change within the community. If you know an exceptional volunteer who is driven by compassion, kindness, empathy and selflessness, let us know by nominating them today.

PLATINUM & MEDIA SPONSORS

2021 National Volunteers Week (17 - 23 May)

Volunteers play a critical role in the successful operation of many community and grass-roots organisations and initiatives. Volunteering Sunshine Coast acknowledges the magnificent contributions of our volunteers by honouring the work they do and ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve.

Currently, there are around 60,000 volunteers in our community, working tirelessly behind the scenes on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

These extraordinary individuals are the cornerstone of our society and the ones we rely on in times of need, who band together to support and strengthen our local not-for-profit, events, businesses and community sectors. The 2021 Volunteers of the Year awards acknowledge the magnificent contribution of these hard-working and often unsung heroes.

The Celebration

The Volunteers of the Year awards will culminate during National Volunteer Week (17-23 May 2021). The theme of the 2021 celebration is Recognise, Reconnect and Reimagine.

Recognise, celebrate and thank volunteers for the vital role they play in making our communities stronger, especially during need, crisis or isolation.

Reconnect to what is important by giving our time to help others, our local community or a cause we value.

Reimagine how we can strengthen, promote and inspire volunteers to continue their vital work within our community.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and last-minute bookings, the Event will be held the week after being celebrated on the 29th May 2021 at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
