Parent 2 Parent Queensland

BY: Joseph / 0 COMMENTS / CATEGORIES: Uncategorised

Parent 2 Parent is the perfect example of what can be achieved with a clear vision and the determination to make a difference.

Today, Parent 2 Parent works with people with a disability and their families across Queensland, delivering a range of services. However, its history can be traced back to a discussion over coffee between parents concerned about the lack of support for parents of kids with a disability.

After receiving a small grant, they formed a committee and Parent 2 Parent Queensland (P2P) was brought into existence.

Their list of services have progressively increased over the years and now, under the NDIS, P2P empowers those living with a disability to plan for their future and successfully navigate the NDIS.

Their primary services are:

NDIS Plan Management

P2P is an established NDIA registered plan manager that employs staff with bookkeeping and accounting qualifications that will help you make the most of your NDIS funding. The benefits of having P2P as your financial plan manager include:

  • Independent- run by people just like you, who have been fighting for the NDIS and other advancements for people with a disability and their families for over 20 years
  • Experienced – with 15 years managing state based self directed funding
  • Collaborative and Innovative – let’s think outside the box together to make the most of your funds
  • Supportive – while there are things they are restricted from doing, when people are in trouble, they will dig deep to make sure you are connected and back up and running
  • More than just the NDIS – P2P needs your support to ensure their services continue to develop beyond the NDIS. Choose P2P if you want your invoices paid, and to contribute to better outcomes for our people and communities.
Support Coordination

P2P offers independent support coordination and has 20 years of experience collaborating with people living with a disability as they go through life transitions. P2P can help you realise your NDIS funding plan by connecting you with your local community and accessing the necessary material supports and services.

P2P’s Support Coordinators have lived experience, qualifications and relevant expertise that enable them to provide their clients with the highest possible service.

Funding for Financial Plan Management and Support Coordination is paid by the NDIS on top of your funding.  You need to ask for it at your NDIS planning meeting.

To book your pre-planning session, call 1800 777 723.
