Position Description: We need volunteers to look after a stand at Bunnings Noosa, advocate for the charity and sell dog treats. If you enjoy talking to people, are passionate for animal welfare and have that knack to sell, please get in touch!

Requirements: Keen talker and healthy attitude.

Duration: Short Term

Availability: June 2, 9 and 16. Whole day or part day. Hours from 7 am to 3 pm.

Training: You will receive training on how to use an App, for sales and how to promote the charity.

Smart Device / Computer Assistant

Position Description: A volunteer is needed to assist clients with operating their smart device in a one hour one on one appointment. The types of things you could be asked to assist with could range from making a call, adding contacts or migrating from an old device to a newer one.

The second half of this role would be to assist clients to improve their computer knowledge, with appointments being centred around what the client would like to learn.

Duration: Long Term

Availability: Should be willing to volunteer for at least four hours one day a week.

Support Volunteer- Swimming

Position Description: A support volunteer is required on Tuesday to assist a Development Worker with the support and transfer of a person with a disability while they swim at a public pool on the Sunshine Coast – Nambour or Cotton Tree. The volunteer could assist in other areas of support on this day or other days also if desired.

Media and Communications Manager

Position Description: A Media and Communications Manager is required to engage with the community on an ongoing basis through the use of social media to develop an exciting image for this flourishing organisation. Other roles will include producing a monthly newsletter and maintaining a website and Facebook page. There will also be periodic advertising in local papers, wide communication of events via paper, radio, television, flyers and other promotional activities. The Media Manager will report to the committee when required and attend event meetings.

Requirements:

  • Ability to create an interesting newsletter with ideas and articles sent by others
  • Knowledge of working with webpages and Facebook
  • Ability to compose flyers for events
  • Enthusiasm and creativity
  • Sense of humour and ease with working with others.

Duration: Long term

Availability: four hours per week and meeting once a month for two hours.

Excel Pro

Position Description: A talented individual is needed who knows their way around Excel. If you know how to work with Excel, know some cheats and like using Excel to organise your work, then this is the role for you! The volunteer will help organise and set up stock control and ordering and streamline the current system. Once this task is done, there may be other tasks for you to lend a hand to.

Requirements:
